Well howdy and welcome to Planet of the Martin Keowns the first Arsenal fans blog.

First things first. The crest! What the fuck are the club doing. The current crest represents everything Arsenal are about, summed-up succintly by the latin motto: Victoria Concordia Crescit. This, for those of you lacking the odd Latin GCSE, translates as Victory Through Togetherness. Funny that, exactly what we needed on Saturday against Southampton. The new crest makes me feel ill, it's as simple as that. It looks like it was a winning entry in a competition open to inbred boy scouts. This is a joke and purely a money spinning exercise to build funds for the new stadium. I'm going to hold back though, for now. I'll wait until the summer and see if Paddy stays of goes. If he goes and we get this stupid crest then I'll be fuming but if the crest means we can hold on to PV4 then maybe not too bad. But seriously what the hell are the club thinking?! By the way the fans were not consulted one jot....
